Functional testing

Most people begin with a consultation. It’s the simplest way to understand what’s happening, talk through your symptoms and decide whether testing would genuinely add value.

Testing is optional. If deeper answers are helpful, we can look at the most appropriate options together — such as HTMA, GI‑MAP, Organic Acid Testing (OAT) or genetic testing. Each test is interpreted thoroughly before being discussed in your appointment.

Functional testing can offer clarity when symptoms feel long‑standing or confusing. It helps us understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and guides a plan that’s specific and evidence‑informed. Tests are only recommended when they add meaningful insight — never for the sake of it.
