Functional testing
Functional testing is a core part of how I work. Testing helps us understand what’s happening beneath the surface so we can make decisions based on real information, not assumptions. This means we can identify what’s contributing to your child’s symptoms and create a plan that’s specific, targeted and evidence‑informed.
I use functional nutritional testing to explore the underlying factors affecting your child’s health, including nutrient deficiencies, gut and digestive issues, bacterial, fungal and viral imbalances, inflammation, heavy metals, oxalate concerns, food intolerances and more.
I specialise in interpreting:
-
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)
-
Organic Acid Testing (OAT)
-
GI‑MAP stool testing
-
Genetic testing
I only use tests that add meaningful insight — never testing for the sake of it. Each test is chosen because it helps us understand your child more clearly and guides the next steps in a way that feels purposeful and grounded.

I recognise that behind every child with complex needs are parents carrying an extraordinary load.
Many of the parents I support are living with chronic stress, disrupted sleep, nervous system overload and deep exhaustion after years of caregiving, advocating, and holding everything together. Their own health is often sidelined — not because it isn’t important, but because there has been no space left for it.
By supporting parents, we strengthen the whole family. Care becomes more sustainable, decisions feel clearer, and families are better able to move out of constant crisis mode.
You don’t need to be at breaking point to deserve support.
