Services & Functional Testing

This page outlines the services I offer, including consultations, parental support and targeted functional testing. My approach is detailed and evidence‑informed, helping us understand the underlying drivers of your child’s symptoms and create a plan that feels achievable for your family.

Functional Testing

Functional testing is a core part of how I work. When a child is struggling, guessing can feel frustrating and slow. Testing helps us understand what’s happening beneath the surface so we can make decisions based on real information, not assumptions. This means we can identify what’s contributing to your child’s symptoms and create a plan that’s specific, targeted and evidence‑informed.

I use functional nutritional testing to explore the underlying factors affecting your child’s health, including nutrient deficiencies, gut and digestive issues, bacterial, fungal and viral imbalances, inflammation, heavy metals, oxalate concerns, food intolerances and more.

I specialise in interpreting:

  • Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)

  • Organic Acid Testing (OAT)

  • GI‑MAP stool testing

  • Genetic testing

I only use tests that add meaningful insight — never testing for the sake of it. Each test is chosen because it helps us understand your child more clearly and guides the next steps in a way that feels purposeful and grounded.

How I work

Prior to your consultation

Unlike other practitioners, an initial consultation isn't a prerequisite. Prior to your appointment, I conduct a comprehensive health questionnaire review. We explore symptoms, behaviours, infections, regressions, triggers, and patterns. I use the right tests, not all the tests,  to identify what’s driving your child’s symptoms.  I don’t simply skim through results;  I dedicate time to thoroughly analyse findings. This careful preparation means that when I present your results, they are explained clearly step by step.

During your consultation

Your results, are explained in detail, in a way that is easy to understand. You'll gain clear root‑cause insights and  finally understand why your child feels the way they do. My approach is intentionally thorough and never rushed. I value your time and ensure there is ample opportunity for you to ask any questions, making your experience as informative and supportive as possible.

After your consultation

You will receive a personalised nutrition and supplement plan tailored specifically to your needs or those of your child. My plans are simple, realistic and designed to fit into your family life.

Follow Up Support

Whilst follow‑up support is recommended — to review and adjust the plan, support you through flares and help prevent overwhelm — it’s always designed to be flexible. I offer follow‑up consultations and email support options so you can access guidance in a way that fits around your time, your energy and your financial boundaries, without adding pressure.

Support for parents

Many of the parents I work with are living with chronic stress, disrupted sleep and nervous system overload after years of caregiving and advocating. Your health matters too.I offer a parent‑only support package for those who want dedicated help with their own wellbeing, energy, sleep and resilience. When parents feel better, the whole family benefits.

How consultations are conducted

All consultations are held online, either by telephone or via Microsoft Teams — whichever feels easiest and most comfortable for you. This removes the need for travel, childcare or added pressure.

A calmer, clearer path forward

My aim is to help you understand what’s happening, reduce the overwhelm, and create a plan that genuinely supports your child — and you.

I recognise that behind every child with complex needs are parents carrying an extraordinary load.

Many of the parents I support are living with chronic stress, disrupted sleep, nervous system overload  and deep exhaustion after years of caregiving, advocating, and holding everything together. Their own health is often sidelined — not because it isn’t important, but because there has been no space left for it.

By supporting parents, we strengthen the whole family. Care becomes more sustainable, decisions feel clearer, and families are better able to move out of constant crisis mode.

You don’t need to be at breaking point to deserve support.
